Windows Vista : state of things

Paul Thurrot, one of Windows and Microsoft’s most energetic advocates, has put up a scathing review of what went wrong during Vista development. It’s a very interesting read, outlining everything that went and is wrong in Microsoft today; it lists Vista’s broken promises (back then in 2003 Vista looked positively amazing and scary, now it just looked like a Windows XP ‘upgraded’) and his “insider” position gives him a disillusioned tone that paint Vista in a very bad light.
